God has blessed me with many amazing experiences and opportunities; the most important being adopted as a child of God through the salvific work of Jesus Christ. I was blessed to be born into a family with a long Christian heritage, but I didn't "need" a savior until the stresses of life forced me to fully trust in God and not my own abilities while I was in my early 20's. I've been married to my wife Taunja since 2007, we have raised 2 children we are extremely proud of, and have owned my own landscaping business since 2010. Self employment has allowed my schedule to be flexible enough for Taunja and I to lead our church's senior high youth program since 2010 as well.
I became a member of the CDHA in 2012 and was added to the leadership board shortly after. I currently help coordinate and organize various member events, competitions, and our fundraising auctions. In more recent years, I have had numerous opportunties to speak at mens events, chapel services, and wild game feeds.
As a guest speaker, I bring my outdoor experiences and knowledge to the program, (waterfowl, turkey, whitetail deer, elk, and moose) and can also work in additional perspectives in the hobbies of maple syrup, taxidermy/leather work, fruit trees, or food plots depending on your specific interests or requests. All of the outdoor activities or hobbies topics lead to the most important points - Who Jesus is, what he did for each of us, and how to apply His lessons/scripture to our lives so we can be the godly men, husbands, and fathers He designed us to be. Cost: Travel expenses from central Minnesota, lodging (if necessary), and an honorarium from the church or sponsoring group(s).
