Do you know that the Lord is ready to answer - even before we begin to call?  In fact, the Lord announced to the people of Israel through His prophet Isaiah, "Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear" (Isaiah 65:24).  God knows about our needs and desires before they are expressed.  Jesus told His listeners, ". . . your Father knows what you need before you ask him" (Matthew 6:8).

What it comes down to is this.  The Lord of the universe wants to answer our requests more than we are sometimes willing to call.  Again, Jesus said, "Ask and it will be given to you" (Matthew 7:7a).  And, perhaps most importantly, the person who wants to be saved from their sin can have great assurance that the Lord will respond.  If you have never called upon Him, you can.  The Word of God states, "for, 'Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved'" (Romans 10:13).
