The Christian Deer Hunters Association is always looking for individuals who are serious about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with the hunting world.  If you are interested in becoming a member of the Christian Deer Hunters Association you are invited to read carefully all the material below.  Then, if you are in agreement, sign the form below and send it in along with your membership donation.  Please allow up to six weeks to receive your membership packet (see membership benefits below).
 

OUR PURPOSE

The Christian Deer Hunters Association is a non-profit, interdenominational organization which exists for the purpose of helping individuals to know and better understand the God of the Bible.  The Bible makes it clear that, as Creator, God has been and continues to be involved in every area of life.  The apostle Paul said concerning Jesus Christ, “. . .by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible, and invisible, whether thrones or powers or authorities; all things were created by Him and for Him.  He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together” (Colossians 1:16-17).  With this in mind, the Christian Deer Hunters Association desires to help each hunter more fully realize the Creator's presence.  We believe that such an awareness of God will ultimately be beneficial to hunters and society as a whole.
 

OUR GOALS

The Christian Deer Hunters Association seeks to fulfill their purpose for existence by means of:

Evangelization:  Reaching others with the gospel of Christ.

Edification:  Building up the body of Christ.

Education:  Implanting the mind of Christ.

Entertainment:  Providing enjoyable Bible-based materials in the name of Christ.
 

OUR OBJECTIVE

We believe it is possible and desirable that God be glorified in such common things as eating and drinking (see 1 Corinthians 10:31).  Unfortunately, even many who have professed faith in Jesus Christ struggle when it comes to recognizing a responsibility before God in the area of hunting.
Therefore, a primary objective of the Christian Deer Hunters Association is to reveal and encourage a Biblical World View approach to deer hunting.  Some of the things that a Biblical World View will help to stimulate or encourage include:

•  An ongoing surrender of one's life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
• A proper balance between hunting and family life.
•  An awareness that deer hunting can be an excellent opportunity for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with others (Mark 16:15-16).
• The proper view towards those who are in authority, such as DNR officials (Romans 13:1-7).
• An ever-increasing gratitude of God's gracious provisions.
• An enhanced appreciation concerning the value and beauty of all that God has created and a recognition of our divinely granted role as stewards (Genesis 1:27-28; Psalm 8).
• Proper attitudes toward trespassing and other laws.
• The implementation of safety procedures which reflect a love for one's neighbor.
• The importance of faithful church attendance and involvement during the hunting season (Hebrews 10:25).
• Better stewardship practices when buying equipment.
• A wiser use of time spent while actually in the field hunting (e.g. Scripture reading, memorization, prayer, witnessing).

WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT:
GOD
God is one person.  Yet, within this unity there are three persons of one essential nature, power, and eternity — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Dt 6:4; Jn 1:12; Mt 28:19; Ac 5:3-4).

THE HOLY BIBLE
The Old and New Testaments are both verbally inspired by God and without error in the original manuscripts.  The Scriptures are the standard by which all doctrine and behavior are to be ultimately discerned (Pr 30:5-6; 2 Ti 3:16-17; 2 Pe 1:21).

HUMANS
Man was initially created in the image of God, but through disobedience lost his once perfect nature and standing with God (Ge 1:26-27; 3).  The entire human race, from Adam to the present, has failed to meet God's righteous standard (Ps 14:2-3; Ro 3:23).  Humankind, being totally depraved, is in need of regeneration/the new birth.  Regeneration is an act initiated by God the Holy Spirit and the result of God's grace (Tit 3:4-6; Jn 1:12-13; 3:3, 5-8, etc.).

SALVATION
Salvation is by grace through faith and not the result of human effort.  Our salvation is in Jesus Christ and, apart from His work on the cross, there is no other means of escaping the wrath of God that all humans deserve (Eph 2:8-9; Ro 6:23; Jn 14:6; Ac 4:12; 1 Ti 2:5).

JESUS CHRIST AND HIS SECOND COMING
Jesus Christ is the express image of the invisible God who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.  He died upon a cross for the sins of the world, and whoever truly trusts in Him shall be saved for all eternity.  He died, was buried, and rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures.  He ascended to heaven in a glorified body where He now sits at the right hand of the Father.  He will one day return and judge the world in righteousness (Heb 1:3; Jn 1:14; 1 Co 15:3-7; Ac 17:31).  Jesus Christ’s personal return will take place at God's appointed time.  We know neither the day nor the hour of His return, but we can be certain He will!  Those who have received Christ as Lord and Savior will enjoy eternal bliss, those without Christ will suffer eternal damnation (Mt 24:36-37; Ac 1:11; Jn 5:28-29; 2 Pe 3:10; 1 Th 4:16, 18).
 
 

MEMBERSHIP FEE
Why doesn't the C.D.H.A. have a set membership fee?

The Christian Deer Hunters Association is a non-profit, interdenominational organization which has been incorporated in the state of Minnesota.  The work of the association is financed solely through the gifts and contributions received from members and friends of the association.  The C.D.H.A. is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code as an organization described in section 501(c) (3).  Donors may receive a copy of the organization's Letter of Exemption upon request.  It is our hope that all members will take seriously the responsibility that they have to help reach their fellow hunters for Jesus Christ.  By not having a set membership fee, we are trusting all individuals to cheerfully honor their commitment to the Lord in accordance with their income (1 Corinthians 16:2; 2 Corinthians 9:7).  As a volunteer organization C.D.H.A. members donate their time and talents, as well as their material treasures to help advance the good news of Jesus Christ.  Monies which are given to the association pay for the membership packets, materials, mailings, and official outreaches of the Christian Deer Hunters Association.  Monies beyond these costs go back into printing more materials and funding outreaches to advance the gospel.  Please be generous!
